Today marks the launch of MotionFrame’s new Design Service, a new approach that is set to revolutionise the Drywall Sector and enable comprehensive, integrated, and reactive design at the earliest stages of the build programme.
The MotionFrame Design Service has been developed through parametric design principles and enables a fully realised 3D model of the floor plate’s fit out design via data input into MotionFrame’s Walling Configurators.
Initial floor Lay Up designs can be generated from basic PDF 2D floor plans which enables the MotionFrame Design Team to draft the initial 3D building blocks for further development as the design phase progresses.
‘Having had extensive experience in the drywall sector and experienced the frustrations of playing catch up on a build’s design programme, the MotionFrame Design Service allows the whole team an early warning opportunity to address the challenges of complex detailing’ commented Graham Harrison, Director at MotionFrame.
Nigel Conybeare, MotionFrame’s CTO added ‘We have built a platform that offers complete flexibility, captures all standard components and detailing, and enables a swift design for early interrogation. Design solutions can now be developed at the preconstruction phase as opposed to onsite during the build’.
The MotionFrame Design Service delivers a host of benefits though the generation of a driven 3D design – aside from BiM integration, the Subcontractor alongside their clients and contracting partners, can visualise and plan M&E integration, visualise fire compartmentalisation and produce a construction design plan that mitigates the effects of building movement through the inclusion of the MotionFrame Stud System.
